प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने पूर्व केन्द्रीय मंत्री जॉर्ज फर्नांडिस के निधन पर शोक जताया है। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने अपने शोक संदेश में कहा, ‘जॉर्ज साहब भारत के सर्वश्रेष्ठ राजनेताओं में से एक थे। बेबाक, निर्भीक और दूरदर्शी फर्नांडिस ने देश के लिए महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया। वह गरीबों और वंचितों के अधिकारों की सबसे प्रभावी आवाजों में से एक थे। उनके निधन से दुखी हूं।’
